- Contact Centrewest: Provide details including the date, time, cause, and location of the loss.
- Photograph Damages: Take clear photos of all affected areas and items.
- Document Civil Authorities: Obtain identification and contact information for all involved authorities, such as fire, police, health department, and building inspectors.
- Preserve Damaged Items: Keep damaged items safe and intact for assessment.
- Retain Financial Records: Keep all invoices, time sheets, and related documents to ensure all costs are accounted for and to differentiate between regular expenses and those related to the loss.
- Prepare Business Insurance Details: If making a business insurance claim, have your ABN and GST information ready (if applicable).
